What do we do?

These aims are achieved through scholarships, awards, debating and public speaking competitions that encourage speaking skills, and a variety of educational programs for young people from all over the world. School children, students, and young professionals are targeted because the future of international relations will be in their hands. They share a common language in English through which they are able to share thoughts and feelings, to transmit information, to explain discuss, ague and persuade. The young people who take part in our programmes emerge better equipped to contribute to their society and with a better understanding of the world they live in.

Naše aktivity

English-Speaking Union organizuje po celém světě řadu programů regionálního i mezinárodního dosahu - konference, mezinárodní soutěže, vzdělávací programy, studentské výměnné a pracovní pobyty, kulturní aktivity.

ESU Česká republika již od svého založení v roce 2001 navázala na některé aktivity započaté v polovině 90. let a nyní je organizuje pod svým patronátem. Mezi nejznámější patří každoroční Public Speaking Competition. ESU dále podporuje vzdělávací programy a kulturní aktivity, v České republice úzce spolupracuje s velvyslanectvími Velké Británie a Severního Irska a Spojených států amerických, dále s Britskou obchodní komorou a British Councilem.
